Every figure below carries the document it came from and the date it was last checked. Where we have not verified one, this page says so instead of printing a number.

It is left blank rather than shown as zero: across Europe this charge runs from about EUR 33 to about EUR 16,000 on the same car, so blanks read as zeroes would make the dearest countries look the cheapest. Treat it as an unknown cost, not an absent one.

VAT

Serbia is outside the EU and outside the customs union, so it is not in TEDB and this is read from the Tax Administration instead — and unlike every other market here, a car crossing this border also meets customs duty, which this service does not model at all. The rate is reference only and no VAT charge is computed anywhere.

Tolls and road charges

Toll collection is performed in the closed system on all highway sections.
The limits below are the ones that attach to a worked example: a car first registered in 2019, old enough that no age-based exemption changes the answer. A newer car can be answered differently, and the records above say on what.

- Transport, plate and administration fees, VAT treatment and customs duty are not included anywhere in this service. Nothing on this page is a landed cost.
Where these numbers come from
